About Linger

Linger is an independent instrument brand exploring new possibilities for the Array mbira.

The journey began in 2018 with the exploration of the kalimba. Through years of playing, making, and refining, Linger has been shaped by careful consideration of internal construction, size, weight, volume, and responsiveness, with every detail guided by the experience of players.

Each Linger instrument is handcrafted by experienced luthiers, from the shell inlay and carved internal bracing to the final finish. Every instrument takes approximately one month to complete.

There is no single way to play Linger. It is designed to be approached intuitively, whether through arranged music, improvisation, or personal exploration. We hope you enjoy exploring the possibilities of Linger！
