The Story of Linger
Linger is an independent instrument brand exploring new possibilities of the Array mbira.
The journey began in 2022. Through years of playing, making, and refining, Linger has been shaped by careful consideration of its internal construction, size, weight, volume, and responsiveness, with every detail guided by the experience of players.
Each Linger instrument is handcrafted by experienced luthiers, from the shell inlay and carved internal bracing to the final finish. Every instrument takes approximately one month to complete.
Linger aims to create instruments that are intuitive to approach, rich in sound, and open to personal exploration, inviting each player to discover their own connection with the instrument.
